ISCA organizes, forms, manages and supports Team Alberta as they represent our province with pride and excellence every four years at the North American Indigenous Games.
With Hockey Alberta, ISCA contributes to forming, managing and supporting Team Alberta as they represent our province with pride excellence every year at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships.
At the 2023 North American Indigenous Games, Team Alberta took a team of 371 athletes representing 16 sports to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Team Alberta was comprised of 501 total athletes, coaches, managers, cultural performers, chaperones and staff.
Team Alberta finished 4th overall in the medal standings with a total of 82 medals! 27 gold, 28 silver and 27 bronze.
The 11th North American Indigenous Games will take place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in July 2027.
These games will take place in the territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations), the Tsuut'ina Nation, and the Îyarhe Nakoda (Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney Nations). Calgary is also home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Districts 5 & 6.

The City of Kamloops and Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc in British Columbia have been selected to host the 2025 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships May 4–11.
The National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC) unite the best Indigenous hockey talent from across Canada in an inspiring celebration of sport, culture, and community. Since 2002, the NAHC has been a platform for showcasing athletic excellence and cultural pride, offering a space for male and female athletes to compete for national titles.
